SINCE our receiving our Charter in 2001, we have undertaken many local and international projects. These include:
- Purchasing a Ford minibus for the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients & Friends (PASYKAF) for the daily transportation of patients to the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre (BOCOC) in Nicosia for medical treatment.
- Assisting the Esther Benjamins Trust, an organisation that rescues Nepalese children who have been trafficked or displaced into India – including many who have been sold into Indian circuses and forced to work as performers.
- Helping the Friends for Life Limassol Hospice care appeal to provide short term, palliative and terminal care, counselling and support for patients and their families.
- Purchasing a computer, audio equipment, and buggies to assist children with special needs attending the Theotokos pre-school unit at the old Limassol Hospital.
- Providing Shelterboxes to those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
- Providing support for Prosvasi; a Limassol-based organisation that works with people who are socially excluded.
- Providing assistance to the Marguerite Cancer Patient Support Team.
- Supplying a borehole and pump to provide fresh drinking water to a new clinic of an orphanage in the Mulanje district of Malawi in south-east Africa.
- Helping the Friends of Paphos Hospice to provide palliative care for terminally ill patients at the Evangelisimos Hospital.
- Supporting the education of AIDS orphans in Kinkiizi, Uganda.
- Providing support and aid to those fleeing the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict in Lebanon and supplying Shelterboxes to those made homeless by the conflict.
- Purchasing physiotherapy equipment for the multiple sclerosis association in Limassol.
- Raising funds to equip the day care centre of the Cyprus association for autistic persons in Limassol.
- Collecting and organising the delivery of clothing to Moldavian orphanages.
- Assisting in the reconstruction of a school devastated by the 2004 tsunami in Sri Lanka.
- Sponsoring litter bins outside Limassol Castle.
- Delivering career talks to students at a Limassol school.
- Supplying materials for a talented local art student.
- Supplying equipment to Riding for the Disabled, a volunteer organisation that provides horse riding facilities for physically and mentally disabled people and children.
- Paying for the ongoing education of a Palestinian orphan living in the West Bank.
- Supporting the Smile Foundation, a charity that provides free operations and treatment for children with facial disfigurement.
- Organising public speaking, environmental and football competitions for students at Cyprus schools and colleges.
- Organising a Chess exhibition charity event at the Molos Amphitheater in Limassol.
