Welcome to the Website of
The Rotary Club of Limassol Berengaria-Cosmopolitan

THE ROTARY Club of Limassol Berengaria-Cosmopolitan is one of 19 Rotary Clubs on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus; and as a Cosmopolitan club, our meetings and club business are conducted in English.

Cosmopolitan by name and cosmopolitan by nature, our Club is like a mini United Nations with a mix of nationalities and cultures from countries around the globe, including: Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, England, Germany, Ireland, Lebanon, Montenegro, Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, South Africa, Syria, Ukraine and the USA. We are all united under the Rotary Motto “Service Above Self”.

Helping our community

In this Rotary year, 2011-2012, our major project is to provide a Ford Transit 350LWB Minibus for PASYKAF (The Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends). At a cost of €29,000, PASYKAF will use the minibus to ferry cancer patients between the towns and villages of Paphos, Limassol and Larnaca to the specialist cancer treatment centre in Nicosia.

We are also helping the Famagusta Kayak Club to purchase a kayak. The kayak club consists of children from less well off families and its members take part in national and international competitions and are practising to qualify for the London Olympic Games.

You can read more about these and our other local and International projects on our Projects Page.
