ROTARY FOUNDATION

The Rotary Foundation (RF) transforms funds into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.

Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than
$4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.

The mission of the Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation helps Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

Global Grant Projects

Global Grant projects are major projects, in excess of $30,000 in value, that are partly funded by the Rotary Foundation. These projects can only be carried out by qualified Rotary Clubs and must have the prior approval of the RF. The project must address a community need in any of the seven areas of focus and meet certain other requirements including sustainability.

The Karaiskakio Global Grant projects in 2018 and 2020, met all the requirements and the RF donated approximately $112,000 for both projects.
