Lebanon Aid 2020

On Thursday the 27th of August, Cyprus Rotary Clubs shipped palettes with blankets, quilts & medical supplies towards the suffering people of Lebanon. Thanks to all Rotarians who contributed in helping these people in need. We had a positive response from 15 clubs. An amount of approximately € 30000 was sent to Lebanon to cover their immediate needs. Rotary clubs in Lebanon were prepared and donated food packages to needy families.

All Cyprus Clubs started accepting donations from their members and friends and planned with that money to buy either medical supplies or goods.  PP Popi Kanari handled this part with the Ministry of Health and the Pharmaceutical companies.

We coordinated with our Lebanese Rotarians and all goods were delivered successfully.
